What kind of weddings do you shoot?
Any and all of them! If two humans agree to say vows, you can sign me up. My clients are unique people with unique wedding photography needs, and I'm happy to support that to the best of my ability!
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III, external flash, and a range of high-quality lenses for every occasion. I always have backup gear at the ready!
How would you describe your style?
Natural, authentic, and modern. My approach to editing is similar - I opt for a look that is bright, clean, and timeless. Editing is a very important part of the final look behind all of your photos, so I spend lots of time making sure that every image is properly color balanced, your skin looks flawless up close, and that nothing appears too contrasty or saturated.
How and when will we receive the photos? And who "owns" the images?
Image turnaround time varies based on event, but typically you should expect your images between 2 - 5 weeks. I deliver them in a password-protected, downloadable online gallery. Although I retain copyright to all of my images, all this means is that you cannot sell the photos for profit or use them commercially. They are yours to
have forever - you can print and share them in any way that you please!
Do you offer prints and albums?
My services do not currently include any albums or prints, but I highly recommend using Artifact Uprising, Blurb, or Milk Books for creating a beautiful wedding album
after you receive your wedding photos.
Only if you want one! Although a second photographer is not always necessary for smaller events, I recommend one for larger weddings.
Do you have any travel fees?
Only if your wedding or event is more than 60 miles outside of Austin, Texas. This would include gas mileage, flights, and overnight lodging if the event
should end late into the evening.
BTW, do you have a photo degree?
Yeah! (But who's counting?) On top of shooting weddings, I edit photos professionally, do additional freelance photography, and assist other professional photographers.
Can we arrange to meet in person?
Definitely! I encourage getting to know each other beforehand to say hello and chat details.
How do we finalize everything and book you for our wedding?
Once you are ready to reserve your wedding photography, I require a 25% retainer of your quote and signed agreement to make it all official.
What's this signed agreement all about?
The agreement is very straightforward, and nothing to be intimidated by! It lists expectations and wedding details that we have agreed upon ahead of time. It mainly just makes both of us accountable for what we are guaranteeing each other. 🤝
