I’m Jo—artist, photographer, traveler, and quiet observer of the in-between moments.
I grew up on the south shore of Long Island, where I learned to care deeply about things like good bagels and better pizza. These days, I’m rooted in Golden, Colorado with my partner and our three wild and wonderful animals. My favorite kind of weekend usually includes a trailhead, a sky full of stars, and a slow dinner outside with people I love.
Photography has been part of my life for over a decade, but it never feels routine. There’s a certain energy to each celebration—an undercurrent of emotion, movement, and meaning—that pulls me in every time. I’m continually inspired by the authenticity that surfaces when people feel fully themselves and fully present.
Whether your celebration is sprawling and loud or tender and small, I’m here to witness it all and to create honest, artful images that feel like you.
your experience
Being your wedding photographer is about so much more than just showing up with a camera.
It’s a job that requires wearing many hats—sometimes literally (I’ve been known to rock a good sun hat to match the wedding vibe and beat the summer heat.) And while this job is incredibly rewarding (I really couldn’t imagine doing anything else!), it also demands a lot of focus, energy, and maybe a little caffeine to power through those long hours. But not to worry — I take that responsibility very seriously! I’ll arrive early to scope out the space, get settled in, and make sure I’m fully focused, so I’m ready for whatever comes my way. I’ll stay super present so I can anticipate unexpected moments, and be there to support you.

I work closely with you and your planner to craft and manage your photography timeline, ensuring your day flows seamlessly and in a way that best fits your celebration. By scheduling key moments at the right times, we create space for you and your partner to be fully present, and enjoy your day without the added pressure of feeling rushed.
STYLIST & EDITORIAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
From the rings and invitations to the carefully curated details of your decor, I thoughtfully style and compose each element—whether it's a perfectly arranged flatlay or capturing the atmosphere of your ceremony space—to ensure every detail you’ve poured your heart into is beautifully documented. When it comes to portraits, my approach is just as intentional. I combine natural, guided moments with a touch of editorial influence. Think relaxed, effortlessly beautiful images that feel a little elevated but still true to you.
DOCUMENTARIAN & PHOTOJOURNALIST
Some of the most special moments on your wedding day are the unplanned ones, like when something outrageous happens on the dance floor or when a quiet, intimate moment says everything words can’t. I stay present and observant throughout the day to capture these genuine, unposed moments that reflect the true spirit of your celebration. Having someone with a photojournalistic eye is such a valuable asset in wedding photography. Over time, I’ve honed the ability to anticipate and capture the moments that truly tell your story.
NIGHTLIFE & FLASH PHOTOGRAPHER
When the moon rises and the party really kicks into high gear, I capture the energy of the night with a mix of creative flash and shutter drag, adding a vibey, cinematic feel to your images. Think of it like those epic, candid shots from a disposable camera at a wild house party—perfectly imperfect, full of life, and and telling the story of the night in a way that feels like being there all over again.
Weddings bring together so many family members and loved ones, which is amazing, but it can also mean a lot of moving parts. That’s where I come in. I’m all about making people feel at ease—whether it’s calming a nervous parent or gently wrangling family members into place for group shots. I know how to read the room, balancing kindness with just the right amount of assertiveness to keep everything on track. My goal is always to create a relaxed, joyful vibe, so you and your guests never feel stressed or out of place.
