Adventure Elopement in the Portuguese Azores | Becca + Tom

My sweet friends Becca and Tom will be getting married this summer in front of friends and family on Long Island, but have always dreamed of eloping somewhere absolutely unforgettable. When they announced their engagement, I immediately suggested that they fly out to Colorado to celebrate with an engagement photo session, so they could have both a traditional wedding and adventure-style couples photos. Becca was 1000% on board, but leave it to Becca to kick things up a notch – or several. Next thing we know, we're not in Colorado; we're on the stunning coast of Sao Miguel in the Azores for an impromptu elopement-style engagement shoot! And get this: yours truly stepped in as the DIY florist because it turns out sourcing a last-minute bouquet on a remote island isn't exactly a walk in the park. Becca, the DIY queen that I've known since we were swapping juice boxes, suggested we try to make our own, and we ended up with the most beautiful bouquet using loose stemmed flowers from a random shopping mall. Yep, you read that right. Mall flowers seriously never looked so good! The photos are just priceless – stunning cliffs, black volcanic sand, and these two two lovebirds on the Azorean coastline. We can’t wait for their summer celebration on Long Island, but these adventures are most certainly one for the books.
